All of our RIM templates are made from 1/4 high quality wood material which allows your needle tool (or knife) to glide around the edge like butter. This makes for gorgeous and consistent RIM’s every time with no rolling up edges or accidently cutting thru like the craft foam type templates.
RIM templates were designed for dinnerware, artsy plates and bowls (check out my deep dish forms). With these templates you can make fabulous nested sets also using my push plates you may purchase them separately on the Push plate tab. For different looks try different push plate shapes with your RIM templates. For the larger rim area of RIM templates use the wood side for faster release, thought the black side can be used it just takes longer to release. Lip templates have a small edge that touches the clay so they are reversable and it will not matter which side (black or wood) touches the clay.
Always store your RIM templates flat to avoid warping.
